In short
- You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, mobile number or Aadhaar.
- Cookies may be used for visitor counts and for ads.
- Lists of job cards come from a public government register. If your name is on a page here and you want it removed from our site, write to us.
What we collect
When you visit. Like most websites, our server records your IP address, browser, device type, the page you opened and the time. We use this to keep the site running and to stop abuse. Logs are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the site.
Visitor statistics. We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and collects usage data.
When you write to us. We keep your email address and message so we can reply. We delete them when they are no longer needed.
Advertising
When ads appear on this site, they are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of some other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before these cookies are set, and you can change your choice from the link at the bottom of any page.
Job card lists and personal information
Job card lists (name of the family head, job card number and status) are published by the Department of Rural Development on its public portal. Where we show them, we show them as they are, to help people find their own records. We do not add to them, combine them with other data, or sell them.
If your name appears on a page of this site and you want it removed here, email contact@jobcards.in with the page address. We will remove it from our site as soon as we can, usually within 7 days. We cannot change the government’s own list.
Who we share information with
Our hosting provider, Google (Analytics and AdSense), and authorities if the law requires it. Nobody else. We do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent. Write to contact@jobcards.in. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
