Not a government website. Free help for job card holders.

About jobcards.in

jobcards.in is a free website that helps rural workers and their families understand their job card, attendance and wage payments under VB-G RAM G, the scheme that replaced MGNREGA on 1 July 2026.

Why we made it

The official portal holds all of this information, and it is open to everyone. But it is hard to use on a small phone, most pages are in English, and one wrong tap sends you back to the start. We write short, plain guides for the questions people ask most, show the exact steps, and link straight to the right official page.

Who writes it

jobcards.in is written and run by Kapil and a small team in India. We are not government staff and we are not agents. Before we publish a guide, one of us opens the official portal and follows every step. We read the Act, the notified rules and Press Information Bureau releases, and we list our sources at the end of each page.

Read how we write and check our pages.

What we are not

We are not a government website. We do not issue job cards, give work, or make payments, and we cannot change anything in the official records. For those you need your Gram Panchayat or block office. We tell you where to go and what to carry.

Where the information comes from

Job card lists, attendance and payment records are published by the Department of Rural Development on its public portal, vbgramg.dord.gov.in. Our guides explain how to reach and read them. Every guide shows the date it was last checked.

Free to use

You never pay to use jobcards.in, and you do not need an account. Any ads you see are clearly marked and help pay for running the site. Advertisers have no say in what we write.
